Everyone gets that feeling like they're about to faint, and it isn't fun. Read on, and find out how to stop it.

    Sit down with your knees up, and put your head between your legs.

    Take deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth whilst in this position, keeping your eyes closed. Once the initial feeling has gone, move on to step three:

    Open your eyes slowly, and even more slowly, sit up.

    Eat something fibrous or with a lot of protein: cereal bars, oatmeal/porridge, or something sugary: chocolate etc. The faint feeling may be from hunger, so get cramming!

    Drink some plain water; feeling faint is sometimes due to dehydration.

    Give your temples a quick massage or rub.

    Splash some cold water on your face.

    Rest for an hour or so. Don't exercise for a while, depending on the severity of your faintness.

    Ensure that you get a good night's rest (although you should be doing that anyway).
