How to Use Herbs to Treat Bad Breath
Edited by Flickety, CatsDogs8, Maddie, Unifiedtechnology
There are many bad breath remedies available in the store but it's
nice to know that you can also rely on herbs to banish the mouth odour.
Here are some suggestions.Steps
-
1Use thyme. Boil the thyme and water for a few seconds. Set the mixture aside to steep for 10 minutes.
- Gargle half of the mixture.
- Swallow the other half.
-
2Use peppermint. Make peppermint tea from fresh or dried peppermint. Add a heaped teaspoon of the dried or fresh peppermint to a cup of boiling water. Allow to steep for a few minutes. Strain and drink.
- If you don't like it unsweetened, add a little lemon or honey to improve the taste. However, many people love the refreshing taste of peppermint on its own, so try it first.
-
3Use parsley. Simply chewing parsley can alleviate bad breath after a meal. Leave the parsley garnish till last!
-
4Use mint leaves. Chew up then spit out or swallow, if wanted.
